Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new Netflix documentary, in which they reveal the “full truth” about the royal family, has drawn the ire of radio host Howard Stern.

The Miss America the author expressed his displeasure with the royal family by stating that although he did not watch the show, he had to watch it and knew about it since his wife watched it.

On his thoughts on the series, Stern said (via Intermediary), “It was very painful. I don’t — I’m not going to stay with it, but my wife wants to watch it, so, you know, we have a show that we watch, but it’s like whiny bad guys. I have to tell you, I just don’t understand.”

Stern compared “Harry & Meghan” to “The Kardashians” and called it boring, although he expressed sympathy for Harry over the loss of his mother and noted that Princess Diana had received harsh treatment.

“It was strange to see two people who kept shouting, ‘We want our privacy, we want the press to leave us alone.’ And then what’s their special that they put out on Netflix — showing you them and their kids and their lives. It’s like the Kardashians except boring. You know what I mean?” he said.

Stern questioned the purpose of the documentary, expressing confusion about what the Duke and Duchess wanted to achieve with it.

“Where do you want to go? Is this your career… talking about how humiliated you are to be a part of, I don’t know, living in a castle — and it’s hard to relate,” he said every Intermediary.

The radio host admitted that the Royals’ lifestyle sounds “pretty cool” and added that he wouldn’t have to worry about money or a job if he were in their shoes.

The radio host also expressed his opinion about the longevity of their marriage, adding that he doesn’t see them staying together for long. Through Intermediary, the radio host said, “I don’t think he’s going to dig it in the end. I told you.”

Responding to a question by his co-host Robin Quivers about how many times they could sell the same story, Stern joked about it, suggesting that they could make a cartoon out of it.

The documentation of the Duke and Duchess has received harsh reviews from critics and requires a second volume to save it.

The documentary, which has generated worldwide interest since its release on the popular streaming service, has received some unflattering reviews from prominent critics.

In a review of the show, Diversity Daniel D’Addario compared the series to an interview they gave to Oprah in 2021, adding that much of the content was regurgitated.

He noted that although they may have relinquished their responsibility to the crown, they are still in service to some extent. The critic said, “There’s a sense of responsibility about the whole ‘Harry & Meghan’ enterprise, as if they’re bound by honor to keep reading their personal stories until we finally lose interest.”

Nicholas Witchell, veteran royal correspondent for the BBC, appeared on the network’s “News at Six” to review the documentary and refute Meghan Markle’s claims that the media is trying to “destroy” her.

“The idea that anyone would want to ‘destroy him’ frankly I think is ridiculous and does not stand up to proper and reasonable scrutiny,” said Witchell, per Diversity.

‘Harry & Meghan,’ the second volume, is set to be released on December 15 on Netflix. With the acceptance of the first volume, the next part is to work hard or go home. However, things are not looking great for a $100 million documentary.
