The 54-year-old, who also appeared in the Broadway musical “The Music Man” for 11 months, stated, “I did a little damage to my voice with Wolverine. My falsetto isn’t as strong as it used to be, and I’m still letting out some of those grunts and screams.”

Talking about his drama school experience, Jackman shared that his voice teacher at drama school must have been surprised by his voice damage.
Explaining, he told the BBC per Insider that her drama school voice teacher taught her techniques on how to yell and scream without damaging her voice, but some of the yelling and screaming she did for the character might have caused harm. “I did some yelling and screaming and things that I thought ruined my voice,” she revealed.
Fortunately, Jackman says he is now working on keeping his voice. One of the steps included working with a singing teacher and working to prepare her voice vocally and physically for each role she played. “I work with a singing teacher, and I try not to hurt myself,” she said.
