Husband dies days after wife, unborn baby killed in pre-Christmas car wreck on way to share pregnancy news: reports

The husband of a mother-to-be who was killed in a road accident in Arizona reportedly died just days after his wife and unborn child.

Parker Stott has survived — and is undergoing surgery after surgery — following a Dec. 20 car crash on US 93 in Wickenburg, Ariz., according to KUTV in Salt Lake City, Utah.

But despite doctors’ best efforts, Parker succumbed to his injuries Saturday night.

“Early this morning, Parker had his 3rd surgery to clean out his burns, as well as start some skin grafts on his leg,” the family wrote on Instagram.

“After surgery, the surgeon delivered the news that Parker’s injuries were more extensive than we had known and his outlook was grim,” the post continued.

“A few hours later, we received an update that Parker’s vitals were decreasing and he was walking quickly,” the family wrote. “We gathered around him as a family, kissing him, hugging him, holding his hand, telling him how much we love him and how proud we are of him. He is the strongest person and has fought hard.”

“At 6:47 p.m., Parker spread his angel wings to fly him to Heaven to be with his beloved Chloe and their baby.”

Stott’s death is a tragic conclusion to a Christmas horror story that began when he and his wife traveled to Arizona to share the news of 24-year-old Chloe Stott’s pregnancy with their family.

“They just found out they are having a baby and are so excited to be parents and share the news with their loved ones at Christmas,” wrote friend Jake Toolson on GoFundMe.

The couple was driving on highway 93 near Phoenix at about 8:15 p.m. when their Toyota Tundra pickup crashed into a white Volvo commercial truck, according to KSLTV.

They had passed another car in the legal passing zone, but were unable to complete the maneuver around the last vehicle.

Stott and her unborn son died on impact, the station reported. Parker was flown to the Arizona Burn Center where he is under life-saving intensive care, GoFundMe said.

But the extent of his injuries proved too great to endure.

The mom-to-be is an entrepreneur who runs a popular skin care boutique, Clover Skin Bar, in Lindon, Utah.

Parker used to work as a general contractor, while Chloe is an entrepreneur and social media influencer who runs a popular skin care boutique, Clover Skin Bar, about 40 miles outside of Salt Lake City.

On the day of the accident, she had posted a loving photo of her and her husband, with the caption: “You n Me forever Parker.”

Scout Whiteley, Chloe Stott’s friend and business partner, said she was only 10 weeks pregnant, according to KSLTV.

Parker’s injuries were severe — family said his burns were so severe that his right leg had to be amputated and he broke nearly every bone in his body.

“As we feel sad [lose] Parker, who had a positive impact on many people’s lives and brought us all so much happiness on Earth, we are so grateful for God’s grace that he was with Chloe and relieved of all this pain,” the family wrote on Instagram.

“We know they are in a better place and can be together.”
