A group of more than 100 Hamas terrorists were stripped to their underwear by the Israel Defense Forces after surrendering their weapons in the northern part of the Gaza Strip Saturday, according to a video posted by Israeli broadcasters.
News N12 shared a clip of men standing in line across a rubble-strewn street in Jabaliya as IDF soldiers trained automatic weapons on them and ordered them to drop their own weapons across the street. One of the men carefully crossed the street, his automatic weapon held above his head, before tossing it into the pile of confiscated weapons.
“In Shejaiya and Jabaliya, the terrorists who surrendered gave up their weapons and equipment,” IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said Saturday. The Age of Israel reported, adding that many of the men told Israeli soldiers that the underground Hamas leadership “doesn’t care about the people in Gaza who are above ground.”
Hagari said that the interrogation of the captured operatives had provided valuable intelligence for the Israeli army and “helped us in our operational activities.”
Meanwhile, public broadcaster Kan reported Saturday that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar fled northern Gaza at the start of fighting in October by hiding in a humanitarian convoy heading south.

Sinwar fled Gaza City and headed towards southern Gaza Khan Younis in a vehicle providing “humanitarian protection,” the report said, adding that more precise details of the vehicle were prohibited from being published at this time.
The report added that Israel’s assessment is that Sinwar is still in Khan Younis, or rather in one of the tunnels that run under it.
Earlier in the day, the IDF released a video of its troops from the 931st Battalion of the Nahal Infantry Brigade fighting Hamas in northern Gaza.

“Terrorists are preparing an ambush in the area and are ready to attack our forces when they will move through the main road,” the IDF said in a statement. “The team arrived through one of the lanes, behind the enemy, surprised them and opened fire on the terrorists.”
The IDF said Hamas gunmen opened fire on soldiers and threw grenades.
On Thursday, the IDF released footage of dozens of Hamas terrorists who had surrendered to Israeli forces

Images of the handover showed dozens of men sitting in rows with their hands above their heads.
As in Saturday’s video, many of the men were wearing only shorts as IDF soldiers lined up others to move further down the closed road.
In one clip, Hamas terrorists can be seen crowding behind an Israeli military vehicle.
