Iggy Azalea has opened up about a “very mentally challenging” time that could have ruined her career.
The Australian singer shared the crazy news on Twitter on Monday, November 28.

In a series of tweets he wrote, “Want to hear a crazy story? I was supposed to go to Australia and shoot a movie but right before I left I had a fairly routine operation on my back to fix a problem I had after touring two summers in a row -also due to injury… It didn’t. I ended up being very normal because I had complications with my recovery & ended up in bed connected to a million machines and in so much pain there were about 3 days I actually don’t remember at all.”

Iggy’s story doesn’t end there.
“I didn’t walk except to use the bathroom (another ordeal lol) for 3 weeks & you’d be surprised how weak you feel when you don’t move. It happened very quickly,” he continued to reveal. “A week ago I was given the opportunity to wake up and start moving again. I have been seeing someone every day at home and we have been doing light exercise (they are so sad y’all) I have come back strong. I will recover 100%. My goal is to be healthy by Christmas. It’s mentally challenging to suddenly be unable to do anything for yourself and have no answer as to when you’ll recover. That was the hardest part but all the Drs are so happy with how quickly I’m getting better now that I’m moving & walking again.”
Iggy says she won’t be in any movies, but she’s grateful to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

“Obviously I will not be in any film. Missed that opportunity (damn!) But I’m just thankful to see the light at the end of the tunnel now. I think I’m going to get serious about my fitness after this. I appreciate my body in a whole new way after this experience,” Iggy wrote. “I can’t fly yet so I haven’t had time to go on holiday or go back to Australia, but damn! The holidays will finally happen!!!! Stay healthy everyone and pay attention to what your body is telling you! I’ll let you know how it goes in a few weeks.”

The 32-year-old wrote, “A year ago I was willing to leave music because I was tired of the negative energy it attracted. But what I’ve learned is that even when I mind my business, you guys are going to be negative AND not like it. So if I can’t have peace, neither can you. I’m back. Cry.”
As expected, the revelation left fans buzzing and one person answered wrote, “he saw that no one could do a twerk song better than him and had to go back, period.”
