Iggy Azalea isn’t afraid to speak up when it comes to Britney Spears. The rapper revealed what it was like working with him under Daddy’s thumb.

The “Fancy” rapper appeared on a late night talk show where she was asked by Cohen if she would be open to working with the pop singer again and she immediately said yes! But he has some stipulations.
“Am I interested, yes, of course. My collaboration with him has always been one of my favorite collaborations,” he recalled of the song “Pretty Girls” that he and Iggy collaborated on in 2015.
Iggy reminded fans that she was very vocal about wanting to work with Britney again and also about her conservatorship. “I have spoken about this before; I just feel like there was so much we wanted to do with it that we just couldn’t do it. We never did everything we wanted to do.”

The rapper shared that his friendship with Britney is still intact. “I’ve been in touch,” he confirmed. “We sometimes talk on Instagram. He would message me and I would message him back and everything.
As for all the things they never do, Iggy explains that statement when Andy probes and asks “like what?”
“Just get out more,” he claimed. “Obviously he is very limited. And now he has the ability to do it his way 100 percent,” he lamented. Iggy also praised Brit for her creativity and how great she is at her job, when she’s given the chance.

“I love Britney and she’s a lot more creative than people give her credit for, like what she did with Elton [John] very impressive. I want to be a part of more things that he has to do especially when it’s 100 percent his own idea.”
Andy was very disappointed, “I want to see it too,” he said excitedly. Co-guest, James Kennedy of Vanderpump Rules also excited about new music from Iggy and Britney, he remixed “Black Widow” a few years ago and it’s getting some DJ traction.

While the video for “Pretty Girl” is bright, colorful and fun, the atmosphere behind the scenes is messy. Iggy shared her experience working with Britney’s dad Jamie Spears and how weird and demanding he was towards Britney and trying to dominate Iggy.
“When we worked together in 2015, I personally witnessed the same behavior that Britney detailed about her father last week and I just want to support him and let the world know that: He’s not exaggerating or lying.”
He went on to call the conservator “abusive” and shared that Britney had “weird” restrictions on him like limiting his soda intake and Jamie ordering him to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
“This is not right at all,” he tweeted at the time. It seems that years later, Iggy has maintained the same energy. Bad music is no longer something that Iggy focuses on.
