Indira Devi (1952 – 2022) was an Indian woman and the mother of famous Telugu actor Mahesh Babu. She is also known as the wife of veteran Telugu actor Krishna Ghattamaneni. He died after an illness on 28 September 2022 at AIG Hospital in Hyderabad. The news of his death was shared by his son Mahesh Babu on social media. He wrote,
Smt. Ghattamaneni Indira Devi, wife of veteran actor Krishna and mother of Mahesh Babu passed away recently. He has been suffering from illness for a long time.”

He is the founder of a production house named Krishna Productions Pvt. Ltd. In 2004, he started producing Telugu films under his production house with his brother Mahesh Babu. According to Mahesh Babu, he used to visit his mother’s house before the release of each of his films. He likes to make a cup of coffee with his hands and considers it like ‘prasada’ from the temple. In early 2022, in an interview with a media reporter, Mahesh spoke about his bond with Indira Devi. He said,
I went to my mother’s house and drank coffee before the screening of my film because I felt that coffee was like Prasada from the temple for me.”

On 28 September 2022, he died at AIG Hospital in Hyderabad due to illness.
