At one point, he even showed his followers how to roll a joint with their legs spread around a narrow bench. In the caption, they wrote, “HAPPY 420. Starring our friend @irelandirelandireland. #420.”

“She looks just like her mama,” commented one fan. “I’ve never been a smoker but I’ll try anything three times!” another follower joked. “Next year, can I smoke with you?” a third fan asked. “Wow, weed and underwear… it’s almost like that beer commercial,” another follower said.

In a September 2020 interview with Forbes, the popular model opened up about her history with marijuana and shared some advice for some people who have never tried marijuana before. Ireland says that her parents were “non-smokers,” though she says, “I grew up in a very holistic, hippie household.”

“My parents weren’t smokers or anything, but a lot of the people I was influenced by and the people I grew up with were very holistic and always used cannabis as a medicine for a lot of things,” he explained.

Eventually, he began experimenting with different materials. However, he recalled how he “had a bad experience, most of my life, with edibles. I always got along [them] in my mind with… only the worst.”

After trying different types of edibles, Ireland said that she changed her mind about them, adding, “I realized that edibles have the ability to make me feel the way they do, and help my anxiety and help with so many different things.”

Ireland Encourages Fans to Ask Questions When Trying Marijuana for the First Time

Ireland tells his followers that the most important thing to do when trying cannabis for the first time is to ask questions. “I think a lot of people are afraid to ask questions, afraid to be exposed in that way, or to learn something,” she explains. “Coming from someone who has tried everything, I think it’s really important for people to ask questions.”

He also explained how cannabis helped him manage his anxiety. “Even though I took a lot, thinking I could handle it, I never had an anxiety attack, which is huge for me, because I have an anxiety disorder,” she explained. “That’s part of the reason I take marijuana.”

“It has helped my anxiety a lot. I can’t even tell you,” he continued. “Nothing makes me feel relaxed and in control, because I hate feeling out of control. Even if I’m drunk. I can’t explain it to people, they don’t understand.”

In addition to being a model and co-owner of the gluten-free restaurant Good Times in Gearhart, Oregon, Ireland is also an inspired writer who claims that cannabis has helped open up a “different realm” of creativity for her.

“Cannabis has helped me a lot in terms of creativity and opening up different parts of my mind and understanding,” he explained. “It just opens up a whole different realm of creativity sometimes.”

“That’s also an interesting thing about marijuana… I think if you allow it, it can really open up a lot of insecurities in you,” he added. “You can put aside those insecurities and unlock this creative person within you.”

Ireland also noted how prejudice against marijuana is “dying” as it becomes legal for consumption in more states.

“I think that prejudice [against cannabis] is really old school, and it’s kind of toned down a little bit,” he said. “I think people are definitely becoming more and more open to the possibilities of what marijuana can do for you.”
