Who is Dalen Cuff?
Cuff works for ESPN as an in-game and studio commentator for college basketball. He joined the sports programming network in 2016 and helped found ACCN in 2019. Cuff, a former college basketball player, serves as captain of the men’s basketball team at Columbia University. Cuff holds the Columbia records for games played, career three-point field goals made, and three-point percentage in a season.
Cuff began working in marketing for InterPublic Group after college. Later, Columbia invited him to be a color commentator for men’s basketball games, and he accepted. Cuff wanted to change careers after five years working in marketing. He joined the IMG agency and is managed by Aimee Leone. Aimee was able to land Cuff at NBC, where she had previously worked for two decades. Dalen began his career with the Ivy League’s NBCSN before moving to the network’s regional station in Boston.
Cuff covered the Rio Olympics for NBC and even learned Portuguese in the process. Cuff occasionally covers football games for ESPN in addition to hosting ACC Network shows. Dalen was married before his engagement to Kelsey, and he has a daughter from a previous relationship. He posts photos of his daughter, Lyra, on Instagram, including one from her fifth birthday party last year.

Kelsey Riggs announced her pregnancy on Instagram on February 8, 2024. The ESPN reporter posted a photo of her fiance Dalen Cuff. Riggs and Cuff also used the occasion to announce their engagement, choosing a beachside setting for their engagement and pregnancy photography.
