Tindell talks about his experience on his podcast, The Good, the Bad and the Rugby, when prompted by an inquiring caller had a rare opportunity to ask him about his extended family, the royals. Seeing all the buzz around the family, they want to know how much control they have over him and Zara. Like does he need permission?

He said that he didn’t have to get permission, but he definitely ran the idea by Prince William out of courtesy. “You don’t want to trouble anyone,” he said as he answered the awkward question. “I spoke to the Prince of Wales about it and he said ‘Good, go have fun’.”

Tindell went on to share that unlike Harry and Meg, he seems to be able to do a lot of random things. He admits to never having been warned about what he could and couldn’t do or share about the private family.

However, he admits that when the family talks, he keeps it short and doesn’t reveal too much information, mostly so they don’t go public. At least interest is better, it seems.

Tindell has been married to William’s cousin Zara, 41, for more than 10 years. He sometimes shares stories about being around his wife and family like the time he split his pants in front of Princess Anne, his mother-in-law.

“I was dancing on the dance floor. I love the flare, the full dress, but it’s a bit tight,” Tindell shares I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here. “Nothing suits the legs and feet of a rugby player. So, I danced with my mother-in-law, and I did a ‘slut drop’ in front of my mother-in-law.”

“Rip my pants, right in front of him,” he continued. “It just so happened that the boxers I was wearing at the time said ‘bite my nuts.’ When I turned around, he had gone, ‘I’d rather not.’”

Royal by marriage ended up in fourth place and was ultimately happy with how it ended for him. Even though she didn’t win, she was amazed at how well her body held up to a survivor-type competition performance.

In an exclusive interview with Mirror after she left the show, Tindell said, “It’s been a while. I could feel my body getting ready to go. I’m pretty comfortable with it.” He went on to say, it is the best. “It’s been a lot of laughing,” he added. “That is the best thing. You can get through anything when the humor is good.”

Overall, the athlete made a good call by protecting his wife and family and keeping the conversation to a minimum. If we know anything about “institutions”, they say they don’t like it when other people get the attention they deserve.
