Shaquille O’Neal said what he said last year and he repeated it loudly for those of you in the back. When NBA star Kyrie Irving claimed that the earth is flat in 2017, Shaq replied, “It’s true. The earth is flat.” So does he really believe that, or is he just playing with us all for fun?

Shaq Has What He Calls “Theories” On The Topic
“There are three ways to manipulate the mind: What you read, what you see, and what you hear. In school, the first thing they teach us is, ‘Oh, Columbus discovered America,'” he said. “But when you get there, it’s some fair-skinned people with long hair smoking a peace pipe. So what does that tell you?”
In a recent interview on the Australian podcast, “The Kyle & Jackie O Show,” O’Neal revisited his thoughts on whether or not he really believes the Earth is flat.

Is The Earth Flat And Does It Really Rotate?
When asked if he really believed what he said a few years ago, O’Neal replied, “it’s a theory.” He went on to explain, “I flew 20 hours today, not once did I go here. I flew straight.” He added that he was not “overturned” on whether he believed it would be the case if the Earth was round versus flat.
He then brought up the topic of the Earth spinning by saying, “You know how they say the world spins? I’ve lived in a house on a lake for 30 years, not once has the lake turned left or turned right. Podcast host Kyle Sandilands then responded , “If we’re spinning so fast, why aren’t we dizzy? I don’t understand either.”

The former NBA star claimed, “It’s a conspiracy theory,” and said he enjoys entertaining multiple theories and it’s not “about thinking about it, or he’s wrong or he’s right.”
Reviewing His 2017 Commentary
This is not the first time the NBA All-Star has discussed this topic publicly. In 2017, he discussed his theory on “The Big Podcast with Shaq.” He said he often drives “coast to coast” and knows that “it’s flat.” “I don’t go up and down at 360 degrees, and all that gravity stuff, have you looked outside Atlanta lately and seen all these buildings? You mean to tell me that China is below us? China is below us? No. The world is flat,” he explained.

Is Shaq Harassing Us All For Fun?
In March 2017 following his flat Earth theory, O’Neal told The Washington Post, “Do you want to hear my theory? The first part of that theory is, I’m kidding, you idiot.” So is he telling the truth about what he thinks, or is he taking a step back because of the backlash?
Don’t forget that O’Neal also has a fun theory about how long it would take to get to the moon. The joke was around, “You can see the moon, it’s closer than California.” He claimed that it would take 10 to 11 hours to reach the moon. This theory is one that O’Neal gets a definite answer to immediately, so it goes back to wondering if he believes that the Earth is flat…
