The nature of the relationship between professional wrestler Nia Jax and former professional wrestling referee Teddy Long is unknown. During a podcast interview, former SmackDown manager Teddy Long praised Nia Jax’s comeback and humorously revealed her flirtatious side. Theodore Robert Rufus Long (born September 15, 1947) is a retired American professional wrestling referee. Additionally, he is a manager and authority figure most recognized for his roles in the NWA, WCW, and WWE. Theodore Long, also known as Teddy Long, began his career with the National Wrestling Association.
He made his WWE (then World Wrestling Federation) debut as a referee in 1998. Teddy became an on-screen manager in 2003. Later, he was the general manager of SmackDown for two six-year stints, as well as the general manager of ECW. In 2017, Ron Simmons and John Layfield inducted him into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Teddy Long’s Dating Life
Following some backstage flirtation, Long was cast as Kristal’s on-screen lover Marshall in April 2007. Looking for an assistant to spend more time with Kristal, he hired Vickie Guerrero as his new assistant on May 25, 2007, prompted in part by Kristal’s suggestion. Lama proposed to Kristal on the June 22, 2007, edition of SmackDown, and she originally fled the ring in tears before agreeing to marry him. Ron Simmons was chosen as the best man for “Theodore Rufus Long” and Crystal’s wedding on the July 27, 2007 edition of SmackDown.
The wedding date was set for September 21, 2007, in Long’s hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. Plus, the ceremony is always interrupted and unfinished when Teddy has a heart attack just as he’s about to say “I do,” and falls into a coma. The proposed plot did not reach a satisfactory conclusion since Marshall left WWE shortly after, citing creative disagreements.
Teddy Long And Nia Jax
WWE star Teddy Long said that he hopes his “girlfriend” Nia Jax wins the Women’s Royal Rumble match on Saturday night. Many people feel that Teddy Long and Nia Jax are in a relationship based on the way Teddy talks about it in an episode of The Wrestling Time Machine. Teddy Long praised Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley during an appearance on The Wrestling Time Machine podcast.
Later, Long jokingly calls Jax his girlfriend and claims that she will win the Women’s Rumble Royal battle.
“Rhea Ripley, my God. He did a great job. This woman is amazing. I usually don’t take the time to sit down and watch something. I’ll watch, but soon I’ll move on to something else. But he can seduce me. I saw the promotion; he’s great in the ring, and he’s got what it takes. To get back to my girlfriend Nia Jax, I previously stated to her that if she doesn’t get this stuff, I’m going to throw it away. “So Nia take it home.”
Teddy and Nia have not made any public statements confirming their relationship, nor have any other sources done so.
