Ishita Kishore was born in 1996 (age 27 years; in 2023) in Begumpet, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. He hails from Patna, Bihar; however, he has spent most of his life in Delhi, India. He completed his schooling from Air Force Bal Bharati School, Delhi in 2014 with Commerce stream in mathematics and secured 97.25% marks. He pursued his Bachelors with Honors in Economics at Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi, Delhi from 2014 to 2017. He worked as an intern for Housing And Urban Development Corporation Limited in 2015 and GAIL (India) Ltd. in 2016. He worked as a Risk Analyst for Ernest & Young (EY) from June 2017 to March 2019.

UPSC Exam
Since childhood, he was very good at studies. After quitting his job in 2019, he started preparing for the UPSC IAS exam and failed in his first two attempts as he could have qualified for the preliminary stage. In 2023, he got first rank in UPSC-IAS exam during his third attempt. He secured 901 marks in the Written examination and 193 marks in the interview, totaling 1094 marks to secure the top position in the prestigious examination.

In an interview after the exam, she revealed that she used to study every day for 9 hours and worked hard on her writing skills. His chosen subject for the UPSC IAS exam was Political Science and International Relations.
Facts/Trivia
- He participated in several extracurricular activities during his school and college days. He is the President of Interact, a Rotary-sponsored club and used to make fun of the United Nations during school functions. He was a member of the Economic Society and the Literary Society during his college days. She also worked as an intern for the NGO CRY (Children’s Rights and You) in 2015 and taught children at Tihar Jail’s children’s shelter.
- He has an interest in sports since childhood and has become a national level soccer player who also played in the Subroto Cup in 2012. In 2017, he was a member of the Indo-China Youth Delegation, sent on behalf of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, govt. India.
