About a dozen military veterans entered the office of Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) on Friday, demanding a ceasefire in Gaza.
Capitol police arrested six people after they refused to leave without speaking to Gillibrand – known for her support of veterans – in person or by phone.
Meanwhile, Israel is not “trying to occupy Gaza,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insisted.
The PM also said that a ceasefire was not an option – even though the operation in Gaza had taken “longer” than planned.
“We’re not trying to occupy, but we’re trying to give them and us a better future in the entire Middle East,” he told Fox News’ Head of Politics, Bret Baier in an interview Thursday night.
“That requires defeating Hamas. I have set a goal. I have not set a schedule because it could take more time.”
