The father of a 19-year-old Israeli woman held hostage by Hamas militants said on Tuesday that he was afraid to learn what his daughter had gone through after footage emerged of her, looking injured and terrified, sitting with three other teenage hostages who were kidnapped on October 7 .
“I’m scared, I’m scared. No negotiation, my daughter is more than 90 days underground, no oxygen, no food, is someone taking care of her? He was injured. All girls, what will happen? This is my emotion,” Shlomi Berger said after seeing a Hamas video, about two weeks ago, she said, that appeared to show her injured daughter, Agam Berger.
Reuters was unable to confirm the Hamas video and circulated photos for their location and date.
In the video, released by Hamas, Agam is seen with blood on her face, sitting against a wall next to another female hostage, who also appears injured and one crying.

They have been identified as Karina Ariev, 19 years old, Daniela Gilboa, 19 years old, and the youngest female hostage Liri Albag, 18 years old.
“You see my daughter Agam, you see her wounds, you see her face, you see all the girls, on their faces, what they have been through there. It’s horrible,” Shlomi said in reference to the video.
The four were abducted from Nahal Oz during a deadly attack on Israeli communities by the Islamist militant group Hamas that rules the Gaza Strip on October 7, in which 1,200 people were killed and about 240 abducted.

Speaking outside the Tel Aviv hotel where US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is staying during his visit to Israel, Berger called for more diplomatic pressure to free all the hostages.
Israel said the 132 hostages remained incommunicado in captivity, more than 90 days after the attack, without access to the Red Cross.
Several hostages released under a week-long temporary ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas in November said they saw several other captives in Gaza.

Their testimony of sexual abuse and lack of food and medicine has raised concerns for the hostages who were left behind, including an infant and a small child, more than a dozen elderly women and men.
Israel says the release of all the hostages is the main objective of its military campaign against Hamas in Gaza and it will not stop fighting until Hamas releases them all.
