Israeli forces killed a Hamas official responsible for supplying the terrorist group with weapons, the country’s military official said announced.
An Israeli fighter jet in the southern Gaza city of Rafah carried out an airstrike on Friday killing Hassan Atrash, who was in charge of supplying and producing weapons for the military arm of Hamas, the Israel Defense Forces said Saturday.
Atrash is also involved in the smuggling of weapons from various countries into the Gaza Strip, as well as the West Bank, according to Israeli officials.
The IDF on Saturday shared a video of the strike, which showed a car running over pedestrians on the street as crosshairs outlined the vehicle. Suddenly, a bright light enveloped the screen, with smoke billowing from the street in its wake.
Palestinian media reported airstrikes on Friday killed at least three people, according to The Times of Israel.

Since Hamas launched a bloody October 7 terrorist attack in Israel, killing 1,200 people and taking 240 more hostage, the IDF has bombed Gaza and taken out several Hamas leaders.
Lt. Col. Avichay Adraee, IDF Arab spokesman, announced Thursday the Israeli army has succeeded in eliminating four of the seven senior commanders of the Hamas brigade.
More than 20,000 Palestinians have been killed so far in Israel’s war with Hamas, according to an unconfirmed report by the Hamas-linked health ministry in Gaza, which does not distinguish between civilian deaths and those of its fighters.
The IDF separately on Saturday named five additional Israeli soldiers killed in fighting in Gaza on Friday and Saturday, bringing the total killed in ground attacks against Hamas to 144.
