Israeli mom and two little girls among Hamas hostages: ‘The terrorists are in the house’

An Israeli mother and her two daughters were among more than 100 civilians taken hostage by Hamas terrorists who invaded the country in a bloody sneak attack Saturday.

Doron Asher had gone with his daughter to visit their grandmother in the village of Nir Oz near the Gaza border at the weekend when Hamas militants descended on the house, Reuters reported.

Frightened, she called her husband, Yoni, back in central Israel, but his phone was disconnected, and she hasn’t heard from him since.

“He told me that terrorists were in the house,” and that was it, Yoni said.

Tracing Doron’s phone, his location showed he was across the border in Gaza, Yoni said.

His fears were later confirmed when he saw a video on social media that clearly showed Doron and their daughter being loaded at gunpoint into a car with other hostages and driven away by Hamas militants.

“I definitely identified my wife, my two daughters and my mother-in-law in some kind of car and Hamas terrorists around them,” Yoni said.

“My two daughters, they are still babies, not yet 5 years old and 3 years old. … I do not know in what sense they were captured. I don’t know what happened to them.”

Yoni makes a desperate plea for her family to be kept safe – even offering herself as a hostage in exchange for their return.

“I want to ask Hamas, ‘Don’t hurt them. Don’t hurt little children. Don’t hurt women.

” ‘If you want me otherwise, I am ready to come.’ “

Yoni was able to identify his wife, daughter and mother-in-law in a video he found on social media. Yoni pleaded with Hamas not to hurt his family in an emotional plea and offered to trade himself for them.Instagram/Doron Katz Asher

Hundreds of Israelis have been killed since Hamas fighters swept into the country Saturday, leaving behind them a trail of bloody destruction.

Thousands have also been injured.

Many videos have emerged showing women, young and old, being carried away screaming on motorbikes and in cars and loaded into trucks and wagons.

Survivors of a music festival targeted by Hamas said militants shot concertgoers in the legs to prevent them from fleeing.

Doron is also German, according to the Independent, and his family has asked officials in that country to assist in his and the girls’ safe return.

He was not the only German-Israeli involved in the conflict.

Shani Louk, a German tattoo artist, was positively identified as a woman whose body was seen stripped, thrown into the back of a pickup truck, and paraded around Hamas fighters. It is still unclear whether he is alive or dead.
