A famous Israeli mother used her cooking skills to fend off her Hamas captors on Oct. 7. now sharing the cookie recipe that saved his family’s life.
“I’ve got it wrapped around my little finger, that evil monster,” Rachel Edri said in an Instagram video as she baked.
Edri, who managed to distract five Hamas gunmen until an Israeli SWAT team rescued her and her husband, shared a recipe for a cake she made for the terrorists.
“Guys, for two and a half months, you’ve been driving me crazy for the cookie recipe I baked for the monsters, so I’m telling you once and for all, I made them date, chocolate cookies. , Moroccan machine biscuits,” he said, according to a translation from the Jerusalem Post.
Recreating the gunman’s winning chocolate chip version, Edri lists the ingredients as one packet of baking powder, half a cup of brown sugar, one tablespoon of white sugar, two cups of flour, two eggs, and 150 grams of softened butter, plus extra chocolate .

Edri continued to mix the ingredients in a bowl and cut small circles of dough. After flattening it, he placed it in an oven heated to 170 degrees Celsius, or 338 Fahrenheit.
Edri has diabetes and can’t eat the candy that saved his life, but that only leaves more for the Hamas terrorists who crowd around his cake.

She was with her husband, David, in Ofakim when terrorists broke into their home during the Oct. 7 attack.
The resourceful mother said she realized the gunman was “hungry,” so she offered to cook for the terrorists, baking them cookies and treating them to coffee and Coke Zero, she revealed during an interview with ABC News.
Wanting to pass the time, he also joked with the terrorists and even asked for some Arabic lessons, he said.
