Jaafar Jackson, Michael Jackson’s nephew, has been confirmed to play the late pop icon in the upcoming biopic, Michael. Michael’s mother, Katherine, also praised Jaafar, claiming he “made” her son. He went on to say:
“It’s wonderful to see him carry on Jackson’s legacy as an artist and entertainer.”
Graham King, the film’s producer, revealed that he met Jaafar two years ago and was surprised by the way he portrayed Michael’s energy and charisma. The king then said:
“It was something so powerful that even after doing a global search, it turned out that he was the only individual who took on this task. I’m very happy that he has agreed to play his uncle, and I can’t wait for the world to see him on the big screen as Michael Jackson.”
