Famous stuntman, Bam Margera, has reportedly been hospitalized and on a ventilator after testing positive for COVID-19 and pneumonia. The former professional skateboarder had a difficult year due to his treatment for alcohol and drug abuse.
Margera emerged in the early 2000s as one of the stars of the popular MTV reality stunt show, “Jackass,” and has starred in several of its sequels since then. The reality star was dropped from “Jackass Forever,” the fourth film in the franchise, earlier this year after violating a non-substance abuse clause in her contract.

Margera is in the midst of a worrisome health crisis that has the former professional stuntman in the hospital. TMZ revealed that he was diagnosed with a severe case of pneumonia, further complicated by his positive Covid-19 test. Margera was admitted earlier this week to a San Diego hospital.
The reality star was placed in the ICU, and although she was reportedly on a ventilator, her current condition is stable. The latest news on Margera’s condition comes months after the skateboarder celebrated a year of treatment for substance abuse at a Boca Raton facility.
The reality star has also planned to be a part of outpatient treatment classes for the next two months. However, a few weeks later, Margera was reported missing by a rehabilitation facility after escaping a second time.

After the June 13 report by the facility, crisis intervention teams, and sheriff’s deputies, formed a search team to find him. Margera was found in a hotel in Deerfield Beach, Florida, a few days later and moved to a different rehabilitation facility.
follow TMZ, when asked why she left the treatment facility, the reality star claimed she was worried she would be prevented from seeing her son. Margera also expressed concern about not being able to raise her son from rehabilitation. He’s been going out with his wife, Nikki Boyd, for a while now, so he hasn’t tried to contact her since he was admitted.
Margera broke his right wrist in May and dislocated his right elbow after a skateboard-related incident. Despite his obvious pain, the “Jackass” star neglected to take pain medication, citing his sobriety journey. Margera has been in rehab for a year after the September 2021 incident that prompted authorities to respond to an emotional disturbance call.

TMZ revealed that during one of her rehab periods, Margera contacted a lawyer who told the reality star that she could be taken out of court-ordered treatment. Since then, he has been spotted in places like Atlanta and Las Vegas, apparently living his best life in bars and clubs.
Margera was reportedly found at the Koo Koo Room in Atlanta in September with several unknown people. Eyewitnesses claim that they saw the reality star consume alcohol and do a lot of name-dropping things. He was spotted in Las Vegas a month later doing the same.
The “JackAss” star is now the subject of a movement titled the “Free Bam Movement” to end the court-ordered rehabilitation period. The campaign reportedly stemmed from online speculation that Margera’s family had placed her under conservatorship, similar to what happened to Brittany Spears. After receiving death threats over the summer, the family reportedly issued a statement to address the rumors.
Bam Margera Back To Recovery

According to a preliminary report by TMZ, Margera was placed back in a court-ordered rehabilitation program. This time, however, the judge made significant changes to his arrangement to benefit him and everyone around the stunt. To prevent Margera from escaping the facility as he had previously done, he was no longer mandated to be an inpatient.
Over the past few months, there have been reports that the “Jackass” star has escaped court-ordered rehab several times. His escapes were usually short-lived, and Margera was usually found and brought in by law enforcement to continue his treatment.
The new approach was necessary because of how often Margera tried to escape the facility. Hopefully the outpatient approach will yield better results than the previous one. Restrictions on the actor are still as strict as in the real facility requiring him to attend classes, stay sober, and continue to see a psychiatrist.
