The idea for the musical was born while Jackie was in Cocoa Beach after being approached by a stranger.
“We own the Cocoa Beach Pier and we hang out on the beach over there. I ran into this young, beautiful blonde with long blonde hair like me, and she came up to me, her name was Lindsey Ferrentino, and asked me if I’d be interested in doing my story on Broadway,” Jackie told The Blast exclusively.
“It’s very strange because it’s as it was meant to be because I’m not looking, I don’t have an agent, I’m not chasing this kind of thing. I thought it was just a chance meeting and he took the opportunity and asked me and I said sure.”
A few months later, Jackie got a call from Ferrentino saying the Broadway team and his connections were interested in the idea.
“Then Covid hit, so we took that as an opportunity, and we met during Covid and worked on the story. I think one good thing is that we didn’t waste time during the shutdown,” he continued. “It was amazing. It was almost like, I don’t know, God is looking for me or something.”

When Jackie was asked to sign the actor they chose to play her in the musical, she was more than happy to do so.
“When they announced to me that it was Kristen Chenoweth, I told them it wasn’t a question of whether I would sign it. I’m beyond honored and I can’t think of anyone better because she’s not only beautiful on the outside, she’s even more beautiful on the inside and that’s not to mention her incredible talent that’s incredible.” Jackie said. “I’m very grateful that he’s on board.”
The show begins with dress rehearsals in July with a premiere on August 1st in Boston. Then in 2025, the show heads to Broadway, and Jackie is very excited about it.
Victoria’s Voice Foundation Helps Change And Save Lives
Jackie Siegel
Jackie and David’s lives changed forever in 2016 when their 18-year-old daughter, Victoria, died of a drug overdose. The tragedy pushed them to a new purpose in life and thus Victoria’s Voice was born.
“We started our foundation the day after he passed away,” Jackie told The Blast. “We didn’t know what we were going to do with the foundation, but we had grown so much and we had speakers going all over the country. We pay for their travel, their accommodation, and they talk to several schools a day.”
The foundation has just achieved a major milestone – reaching their millionth student.
The speaker also talked about vaping warnings because many kids get used vapes from other students or drug dealers who think they are safe, but now many are laced with fentanyl and other chemicals. The students were asked to release their vapes by the loudspeaker.
“We have thousands and thousands of vapes and we test them,” he said. “Many of them have had fentanyl.”
Many kids also buy what they think is an Adderall prescription to pull an all-nighter to study, but many end up on fentanyl.
“Our message to everyone is don’t take anything, even aspirin, from strangers, just because you don’t know where they got it,” Jackie said.

The Broadway show will feature her late daughter Victoria and Victoria’s Voice to help tell her story and raise awareness.
“I feel like my life path is for a greater purpose which is to save lives. And it also saves lives in general, not only from drugs, many things,” he said.
Jackie also urged parents and teenagers to watch “The Princess of Versailles” on her YouTube channel, as it shows the pain and suffering of losing Victoria.
“We also have a new release of the book Victoria’s Voice which is our daughter’s diary. He left a text before the night that he died when he thought he would overdose his friend, that if he died of a drug overdose, because he knew he was playing Russian roulette with these drugs but hoped it wouldn’t happen. occurred to him, that he wanted me to find his diary on his night table and publish it,” he said.
“He really felt that he could help save the lives of other teenagers by sharing his inner thoughts and journey through drugs that he did. So hopefully that will stop them because he died in the end.”
The pre-Broadway world premiere of “The Queen of Versailles” is July 16 through August 18, 2024 at the Emerson Colonial Theater in Boston. For more information and tickets, visit their website.
