Jada Pinkett Smith Calls Will Smith ‘A Comedian’ After He Wrote Him A Beautiful Note

A flurry of observers have begun to see something from Jada’s side after she had a two-and-a-half-hour conversation on Jay Shetty’s podcast, “On Purpose with Jay Shetty” on Monday.

During the session, the couple took a moment to pass on a heartfelt note that Will had written to his partner, expressing his deep appreciation for her honesty in “Worthy.” Opting to read the note aloud for his guest, Jay begins:

“I just opened the last page of Worthy. It’s amazing to realize that despite having lived most of my life by your side, I still find myself surprised and stunned and caught off guard, laughing, then inspired, then heartbroken. I am everywhere. It’s one thing to hear an anecdote at a family barbecue, but it’s really gratifying to take your story, powerfully condensed in this way.”

The British writer continued, “You are one of a kind, a rare combination of power and delicate sensitivity. I know it’s not easy to dig deep that way. I praise and respect you. If I had read this book 30 years ago, I would have hugged you longer. I will start now. Welcome to the Authors Club. I love you endlessly. Now go get some Merlot and relax.”

Once Jay finished reading the letter, which was sent in an email, Jada playfully responded to her husband’s suggestion by saying, “He knows I can’t have Merlot. That’s beautiful. That’s why I can’t divorce the comedian.”

As you can imagine, many fans are confused as to why the couple has been “separated” for years but not instigating a divorce.

Responding to the note itself, this fan wrote in the comments section of the podcast episode, “If I had read this book 30 years ago, I would have hugged you more. I would start now” -Will Smith. Will really love women this is unconditional. As much as I don’t like how Jada has portrayed Will over the past few years, I understand that he’s a flawed human being just like us.”

“I’m in awe of Jada because she realizes, very few can look in the mirror of their own accountability, her story, respect,” said another fan of the entire interview.
