Gunn announced changes to the Superman cast in June of this year. There were several options for the lead role, including Tom Brittney and Nicholas Hoult, but they ended up going with Corenswet. Another new face is Rachel Brosnahan, who plays Lois Lane.

The next film, “Superman: Legacy,” is slated for release in July 2025 and may begin shooting in early 2024. Filming may begin later than the scheduled date if the ongoing WGA strike continues through the end of the year. His comments read“I never heard Ben Affleck’s voice come in [Blue] Beetle, so is Peter [Safran], let alone cut one.” Gunn add“I’ve never heard of one because one never existed (just ask the manufacturer).”

The film’s director, Angel Manuel Soto, even said Gunn had no input in “Blue Beetle.” He told GamesRadar+, “The studios always, generally, have their hands on it.
