Jamie Foxx celebrated his late sister, DeOndra Dixon, on her 39th birthday posthumously, nearly three years after her death. DeOndra, who was born with Down syndrome, left this earth at 36 in October 2020, as announced on Instagram by Foxx at the time.
The grieving actor still misses his younger sister and recently paid tribute to her in a touching tribute on social media.

Foxx took to Instagram on September 6 to drop a series of posts in honor of DeOndra’s birthday, starting with a throwback photo of the two of them smiling and accompanied by a sweet message that read:
“Miss u … I wish you were here. I know you are in heaven, teasing everyone with your jokes.” The tribute received over 98k likes, with tearful fans celebrating the deceased in the comments section.

In a follow-up post, the “Django Unchained” actor considered his late sister “deondra’s beautiful angel….” and uploading several pictures of himself with her over the years. DeOndra will always be missed by many, especially her loving brother, who shared the news of his death on October 19, 2020, on Instagram. She posted a black and white photo of herself with him along with a sad message that began:
“My heart is broken into a million pieces… my beautiful and loving sister Deondra has moved on… I say moved on because she will always live on… anyone who knows my sister… knows that she is a bright light…”
He then went on to talk about his admirable dance moves, adding that he knew he was in heaven “dancing with his wings.”
Despite Foxx’s grief, she is happy for the “wonderful memories” her late sister and loved ones left behind, including her accomplishments as an “ambassador for @globaldownsyndrome.”
