Hollywood star Jamie Foxx is reportedly doing well following his health problems last year when he was hospitalized for a mysterious illness.
According to sources, the actor is his “old self” again and is back doing what he loves. Foxx is set to return to host “Beat Shazam” with his daughter, Corinne Foxx.
He recently revealed that he plans to open up about his health scare during a yet-to-be-announced Stand-Up comedy show.

A source told People’s Magazine that the Academy Award-winning actor is “doing really well” as he prepares to return to the show “Beat Shazam” and other projects he has lined up.
“He’s very busy and back doing what he loves,” the source told the news outlet, adding, “Jamie doesn’t go beyond the beat of ‘Beat Shazam.’ He’s really back to his old self. Really into him!”
Last year, in April, Foxx was forced to take a step back from several projects while he was hospitalized for an undisclosed illness.
While the details of his health battle are shrouded in mystery, the actor revealed at the seventh annual AAFCA Special Achievement Awards that he will share what happened to him during his stand-up comedy gig.

He ‘Lives Clean’ And Enjoys His Good Health

According to a second insider, Foxx has been “very busy, happy and strong” since being released from a rehab facility last year.
“He’s gung ho working now, living clean and enjoying his good health,” the source claimed.
They added, “Jamie is a social guy, he loves being around his friends, he needs to be busy doing all kinds of different things. He’s a bonafide entrepreneur with new projects bubbling up all the time.”
Following his health scare, Foxx was forced to put several projects on hold, including his film, “Back In Action,” featuring Hollywood star Cameron Diaz. Since recovering, the actor has returned to work on the project.

The “Annie” star has other movies lined up, including “Tin Soldier” and “Not Another Church Movie.” According to sources, Foxx, who starred in four movies last year, “also needs to be busy” because “he loves it.”

During the speech, Foxx joked about his severe health scare and how it made him appreciate the everyday pleasures that life brings. He even joked about how he “died” while fighting for his life back then.
Foxx said, “Appreciate life, man. I’ve got some people in my life that really make sure I’m here because it’s been tough. So I appreciate it, I’m telling you. My daughter thinks sometimes I’m too thankful, on the present . Because I am so grateful.”

“I was drinking water, ‘Wow, have you tasted this water? It’s so moist! This is the wettest water. Is this how it was before I died?'” quipped the actor.
Jamie Foxx Will Address His Health Fears During Stand-up Special

Since news of his medical emergency made headlines last year, Foxx and his family have kept the details of the incident under wraps. However, on Sunday, the “Django Unchained” star said he would talk about the experience but in a “funny way” and be back “on stage.”
At the AAFCA event, Foxx said, per Diversity: “Everybody wants to know what happened, and I’ll tell you what happened. But I have to do it my way. I’m going to do it in a funny way. We’re going to be on stage. We’re going back to the roots of standing alone .”
He went on to state that the stand-up special will be titled “What Had Happened Was” and will have all the interesting information the world is asking for.

Foxx also teased that the stand-up show will address all the wild conspiracy theories and rumors that spread about him after the health scare, including that clones have replaced him.

In a post celebrating his NAACP Award, Foxx expressed his gratitude for a “second chance” at life following his mysterious health scare.
“And personally, I’m humbled and grateful to God that I got a second chance to enjoy and appreciate life …,” he shared, tagging his daughter, Corinne Foxx, and sister, Deidra Dixon.
During his acceptance speech for his Critics’ Choice Vanguard Award, Foxx stated that he “actually couldn’t walk” during his health battle and that he “didn’t want anything [he] passed through [his] worst enemy because it’s hard.”
“I have a new respect for life. I have a new respect for my art. I watch so many movies and listen to so many songs, trying to pass the time. Don’t give up on your art, man, don’t give up,” he added.
