Jana Kramer is more than ready for the next chapter!
That’s what the country star chose to name her upcoming book, which will detail the demise of her marriage to Mike Caussin and her subsequent discovery of happiness. Kramer, who recently got engaged to his current girlfriend after six months of dating, will debut “The Next Chapter” in October 2023.

Although Kramer and Caussin created an image of perfect forgiveness and reconciliation, it soon became clear that their union could not survive the second problem of sex addiction. The “Dead/Undead” actress eventually filed for divorce from the former football player, citing “marital misconduct, irreconcilable differences and adultery” in 2021.
Two years later, Kramer has revealed that she is writing a book to share her experiences during the nearly six-year marriage. Speak to PEOPLE about the incident, he stated:
“I wish I had this book when I was going through my divorce because I would be able to, A, connect with someone and say, ‘OK, what could I be going through?’ or, ‘Oh yeah, that’s how I feel. We just put words on paper, and the ‘Next Chapter’ was on.”

After admitting that the book started with her divorce, the “Dancing with the Stars” contestant revealed that it was more about her journey than her now ex-husband. In his words:
“I didn’t want the book to be about [Mike]. This book is about me. This book is about reflecting on my journey and then looking in the mirror, saying, ‘OK, what did I miss? What can I do better? What can I learn?’”
Later, the “One Tree Hill” alum revealed that her decision to release the book as soon as possible, instead of holding her breath for fairy tale love, was based on her belief that finding true happiness lies in being able to love yourself.
Turns out, things are going well for her as The Blast reports that she is engaged to Allan Russell, a Scottish football coach. At the time, the multi-talented celebrity told listeners of her podcast, “Whine Down with Jana Kramer”:
“I have some things that I haven’t talked about because, you know, I just want to do them when I’m ready, so I got the announcement today.”
An excited Kramer then gave the full details of the “wonderful night” Russell had on one knee. After revealing that she was enjoying the view on her front porch with her kids, she added:
“He said my name, and I got up or whatever, and then he got down on his knees, and Jolie started jumping up and down. It was the cutest thing; like she knew what was going on.”

The coach then called the “Dance in the Rain” singer the love of his life and raised questions. She also recalled, “We just started crying, and it was very sentimental considering the front porch of the new house, the new beginning. It feels right.”

During Christmas last year, Kramer spent some much-needed quality time with his children — daughter Jolie and son Jace. Not only did she capture the sweet moments on camera, she also took to Instagram to share the images with her two million followers.
In the first shot, three families cuddled up to each other on a sofa, wearing clothes that suited the mood of the day. While the 39-year-old wore a gray pajama set, his seven-year-old daughter rocked a colorful top with green and red sleeves, and his four-year-old son sported a long-sleeved red graphic shirt.
By the second slide, the cute kids had changed into different clothes and taken their positions on the ground to unwrap their Christmas presents. A close-up of the outfit is later seen in a second video, highlighting that Jace’s onesie is emblazoned with his name and some mugs while his sister shines in a red dress behind him.
“Welcoming Christmas morning with the kids today. It’s still the same joy even on a different day…and it even snows like a real Christmas Day. Pure magic,” he wrote under a three-slide post uploaded on December 28.
