According to Us Weekly, Pope took to Twitter and tweeted, “You’d think celebrities with beauty brands would see the positives in including LGBTQ+ people in their messaging. But instead, here we are, hearing someone compare their ‘tomboy phase’ to someone wanting to transition. It’s great .”
Pope’s tweet refers to transgender members of the LQBTQIA+ community; trans individuals know their true identity does not align with the gender they were assigned at birth.
Morris also weighed in on Aldean’s comments by replying to Pope’s tweet.
The “Circles Around This Town” singer tweeted “It’s so easy to, like, not be a human sc*mbag. Sell your clip-ins and zip them up, Insurrection Barbie.”
Aldean’s friends and fans soon came to his support including conservative commentator Candace Owens.

Owens too weighed on the Pope’s Twitter thread after taking issue with Morris’ comments.
He replied “It’s easier not to castrate your kids. But I guess anything sells bad records.”
Morris didn’t leave it hanging; she replied, “Oh my god, not you. My Grammy is sobbing right now. Also why do you always go to “castration” and “pedophile” to try to cover up arguments? This is honestly disturbing and worth seeing .”
