Jason Sudeikis To Cover 25% Of Olivia Wilde’s Childcare Expenses As Custody Battle Settles

Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde have finally reached an agreement on custody arrangements for their two children – son Otis, 9, and daughter Daisy, 6.

The legal dispute between the estranged couple began last year when the “Ted Lasso” actor publicly served Wilde while he was on stage at CinemaCon 2022 in Las Vegas.

Since then, the couple have been at it, even joining efforts to wage war on their nanny, but it seems they’ve come to an agreement that works for both sides.

Jason Sudeikis Will Pay $27,500 Monthly Child Support to Olivia Wilde

Sudeikis and Olivia reportedly ended their custody battle earlier this month, and the comedian has been ordered to pay the mother of his children $27,500 in monthly child support for their two children.

According to court documents obtained by the Daily Mail, the $27,500 covers $10,300 for their son and $17,200 for their daughter. As for custody arrangements, the exes agreed to joint custody of their minor children, with each parent spending time with the children on a “week to week” basis.

In addition to the five-figure child support payments, the “We’re The Millers” star was ordered by the court to cover 25 percent of the “House” star’s childcare expenses. As to why Sudeikis handled more financial payments, the court ruled based on his estimated income.

According to reports, the 48-year-old has earned $10.5 million this year compared to Wilde’s $500,000. The court, however, noted that fluctuations in the wages of both parties do not necessarily affect the arrangement agreed upon in a custody battle.

“The couple agreed ‘such disputes and fluctuations are not material to their agreement that Jason has an unusually high income,'” the document reads. Additionally, both parties agreed that $27,500 was an appropriate amount to meet the needs of both children.

“The parties agree that child support for the minor child in the amount of $27,500 per month is sufficient to maintain the needs of the minor child in light of Jason’s station in life, … is consistent with the best interests of each child, and the use the guidelines are unfair or inappropriate. in this case,” excerpts of the document read.

Sudeikis and Wilde have been in a legal battle over their children for 18 months, with the actress once accusing the father of her children of paying zero child support, costing him “100% of the cost of childcare.”

At the time, in court documents obtained by The Blast, “Don’t Worry Darling” urged that Sudeikis pay her something “reasonable” from her high income because she handles areas such as clothing, feeding and childcare entirely.

“Jason is not paying me child support at this time, although I requested through counsel that we agree on a temporary support amount to avoid further litigation in this matter,” Wilde said in court. “While Jason and I have shared certain expenses for the children, such as their school tuition, I have borne 100% of the cost of caring for the children when they are with me, including, but not limited to, their food, clothing. , childcare, extracurricular activities and transportation costs.”

In addition, the ex-girlfriend of English singer Harry Styles, asked the “Horrible Bosses” actor to pay her attorney’s fees. “I am asking the Court to make an order regarding child support so that I can provide sufficient support to our children comparable to Jason’s standard of living. I am also asking Jason to contribute to the fees and costs of my attorney and accountant, not only because he is in a much higher position than me financially, but because most of the fees I have incurred are due to Jason and his attorney’s brutal behavior, unnecessary and aggressive,” he asked.

Wilde Opens Up About ‘Difficult’ Co-Parenting With Sudeikis

Days before news of their finalized custody battle broke, Wilde opened up about her parenting experience with her ex-partner, calling it “difficult.”

During an appearance on an episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” the 39-year-old said, “It’s hard, I think rebuilding a family is complicated.” Reflecting on Sudeikis’ misdeeds in delivering her custody letter on stage, she said:

“For me, it’s terrible, but the victims are 8 and 5 years old, and that’s very sad. I chose to be an actor; I willingly walked to the focal point. But it wasn’t something my kids asked for. And when my children were dragged into it, it was very painful.”

Still, Wilde, who now describes herself as a single mother, says she indulges in simply enjoying her children.

“One of the benefits is that it allowed for very deep conversations with my children about emotions, about happiness and about the meaning of family, and love,” she said. “It actually allowed me to get to know them in a different way. My priority is they’re, like, that’s what happened. As long as they’re happy and they’re healthy, you know, me and my ex, we agree [that] they are everything to us.”
