Javed Jeffrey was born on 4 December 1963 (age 55 years; as in 2018) in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. He attended school from St. Theresa, Mumbai, Maharashtra and enrolled at RD National College, Mumbai, Maharashtra to pursue Bachelor of Arts (BA).

Career
Jaffrey made his acting debut in 1975 with the movie “Meri Jung.” He played a negative character in the film which was well received by many viewers.

He later, worked as an anchor in the Channel V shows “Videocon Flashback” and “Timex Timepass.” Javed also lent his voice to several cartoon characters including “Mickey Mouse,” “Goofy,” and “Don Karnage.” His commentary for Pogo’s Japanese TV show “Takeshi’s Castle” became popular among children and teenagers.
He is the co-founder and judge of India’s first dance reality show “Boogie Woogie.”
Jaffrey also created, wrote, and choreographed the song “Mumbhai” from the movie “Bombay Boys.” The song became very popular and stayed at #1 for 6 weeks.
In 2008, he lent his voice to the character of Charlie Anna in the animated film “Roadside Romeo.” His performance was greatly appreciated. Jaffrey has also shared the stage with singer and dancer Michael Jackson.
Javed has been honored with lifetime membership of the International Film And Television Club of the Asian Film & Television Academy. He is also the brand ambassador of India’s first International Cartoon and Animation Film Festival.
In March 2014, Javed joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and contested the general elections from the Lucknow constituency. He finished 5th in the election with 41,429 votes.
