According to the FDA, hyperbaric oxygen therapy “involves breathing 100% (pure) oxygen while in a special chamber called a hyperbaric chamber. The air pressure inside is raised to a higher level than normal air pressure. The increased air pressure in the chamber helps the lungs collect more oxygen. Getting more oxygen to tissues that need it can help the body heal and fight certain infections.”
New video footage shows Leno’s left arm wrapped in a white bandage up to the elbow while his entire right hand is wrapped. His whole face was wrapped in gauze.
Leno can be seen wearing a blue hospital gown and chatting with his nurse’s attendant. He is animated and moves his hands in a circular motion.
