Regardless, the show delivered a historic night for the power couple, as the actor became the record holder for the most Grammy wins, with 32 trophies.
In an interview with ebb and flow performed ahead of the event, the 53-year-old spoke about the “Drunk In Love” singer’s previous albums, 2013’s “Beyoncé” and 2016’s “Lemonade” losing out in the same category and why he believes the new release deserves to win this year .

The father of three admits it’s all subjective because it’s music but feels it needs to be at least close enough to be considered valid. “American Gangster” also mentioned that, “We grew up watching Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder. Stevie Wonder won three out of four years in a row. Come on, man. They got it right. … It’s not politics,” adding, “That’s what we want. “Oh, I think they miss those times. Even with Bey, I think they missed that time. Not just LEMONA; [also] when Beck won it [for Album of the Year at the 2015 show]. I was like, Oh, you all missed it.”

See how the energy of the world moves.” The “Watch The Throne” rapper added, “They played his whole album in the club. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen it. The whole joint — like, the whole thing?!”
