Career
When Jaya was just 7 years old, she sang in a Satsang held during the Basant Mahotsav in her area in Kolkata. When Jaya Kishori was 10 years old, she sang the song “Sundara Kanda” alone, which was loved by the crowd and drew their attention towards Jaya.

- Pt. Govindram Mishra (his mentor) used to call Jaya ‘Radha.’ Seeing her love for Lord Krishna, Govindram gave her the title ‘Kishori Ji.’ From then on, she was described as Jaya Kishori.
- Reportedly, whatever is collected from his talks, it is donated to the Narayan Seva Sansthan in Udaipur and all the donations are used to help and support the disabled.
