On Thursday morning, the 29-year-old fitness enthusiast got candid about how she started her fitness journey in a short Instagram video, set to the BodyWorx song “No Pain No Gain.” The brief clip features her performing various exercises in an orange sports bra, matching thong, baseball cap and bright orange sneakers with white toes. In the video, he picks up a pair of bright green dumbbells and performs compound exercises such as squats for front raises, squats and shoulder presses, side leg raises, matching crunches, jumping jacks and cross body punches.
“Want to start exercising but don’t know where to start?” asked Jen. “That used to be me! I will find all the excuses in the book. I started my fitness journey over 10 years ago and, wow, looking back time flies. Here are 3 things that helped me get to where I am now.”

“Your body can handle almost anything. It’s your mind that you need to convince! Too tired? Push yourself even for just 5-10 minutes. Do not know what to do? Find a program to follow or a different Instagram workout video!” he wrote. “Don’t be afraid to ask questions! You have to tell yourself, I CAN DO THIS because YOU CAN. Push yourself, because no one else will do it for you. If you throw away your excuses, you’ll be on the right track!”
“Motivation is what gets you started, habit is what keeps you going! Getting into the habit of exercising is so important! It needs to be part of your weekly schedule,” she continued. “Get yourself a workout journal and start writing down a plan for the week or stick to an exercise program to keep you accountable. If you find you have the most energy in the morning, get up early and get that sweat on before you go to work! Even if you start with just 2-3 days a week, that’s amazing!!”

Jen’s last piece of advice? “Don’t give up and remember that results don’t happen overnight. You have to fall in love with the feeling of working out, and the results will come! Write down small goals and start from there. Consistency is key.”

While the New York native loves posting workout videos, she’s also a big foodie who loves whipping up recipes to share with her 13.5 million Instagram followers. On Friday, she took to Instagram to share her recipe for Fluffy Chocolate Strawberry Yogurt Mousse.
“Want something chocolate?” asked Jen. “Try this fluffy whipped Greek yogurt dessert/snack, topped with your favorite fruit!!” This time, he didn’t forget to share the amount of each ingredient with his followers!

To make this recipe, all fans have to do is mix together 2/3 cup plain Greek-style low-fat yogurt, 1 tablespoon chocolate protein powder or collagen powder, 1 tablespoon sugar-free syrup, and add toppings like raspberries, strawberries, or chocolate chips .
