The The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star appeared emotional in court as the sentence was read out loud. She spoke through a statement and issued an apology like she was actually saying “sorry” something the women on RHOSLC have been begging for years from Shah for the things he has done to them.

Jen went on to say, “with the right medication I can now see what’s going on.” Shah eventually pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with a telemarketing company he was involved with.
Prosecutors revealed that Shah victimized at least 10 people but possibly many more who were aged 55 and over from a vulnerable peer group in society.

Jen may have dodged a serious bullet. Before the official sentencing, there is a possibility that he will be in prison for up to 30 years and the feds seem to be hoping to get at least 10 years on him.
However, the judge, US District Judge Sidney H. Stein said that he would seek some leniency against Shah on how much time he would spend in prison. The judge also said that Jen Shah is a character on TV and he is prosecuting the people who hurt all these victims. He referred to the show as, and him on the show as, “just a character. It’s acting.”
As part of Jen’s plea, she has agreed to pay up to $9.5 million in restitution. So who knows when Jen will claim her innocence. She spent the entire season of this Bravo reality show claiming she did nothing and standing her ground.

Fans of the show will remember the episode that started the whole obsession. Jen’s Salt Lake home dubbed the “Shah Ski Chalet” located in the ski resort town of Park City, Utah was raided by Homeland Security and the FBI.
Footage shows her son and other family members living in the house being taken out one by one at gunpoint. The authorities then entered and raided the house. They ended up finding a lot of fake wallets and designer accessories.
Meanwhile, Shah receives a mysterious phone call in the famous sprint van scene and takes off claiming her husband is in the hospital. The whole moment was suspect until the news dropped, and it all made sense.
