The actor shared the shocking news on Instagram in a lengthy post. At first, fans believed that the post was him documenting a beautiful moment because of the way the sun shines in the picture and Jena, while away from the lens does not give a sad, gloomy vibe, sure but sad, no. way.

But reading the caption tells a disturbing and unfair story. “Trigger Warning” he warns his fans before reading.

“This photo was taken right after I wrapped the second part of Jay and I had to say goodbye to everyone on set. We were filming in a beautiful estate in the French countryside and I asked the driver to let me out in this field so I could cry and capture this moment,” he said.

“Although this time in Paris was very difficult for me, going through a bad breakup and also being sexually assaulted by someone I used to work with,” he wrote in a casual tone. “I’m so grateful for this project, the people I’m close to and this amazing part I get to play. A swirling mix of emotions I’m just now learning to sort through.”

The trauma was so great for Jena, that she didn’t realize how serious the situation was. “I wish it wasn’t tied to such a traumatic event for me but that’s the real wildness of life I guess. How to contain chaos with beauty.”

The actor insists that the post is not about sadness as he is taking control and getting better every day. “I’ve worked hard to heal and learn through restorative justice, how to make peace with people who violated me and make peace with myself,” she said of her healing process.

As for the film, Jena is still struggling to accept the film and really embrace the good times or talk about the film positively.

“It’s hard to talk about the hunger games and Johanna Mason without feeling the poignancy of this moment but I’m ready to get through it and get back the joy and accomplishment I felt.”

Whatever strength Jena has, she hopes to share it with other survivors. “Lots of love to you survivors out there. The process is very slow and non-linear. I want to say I’m here for anyone who needs to talk or release or open up an uncommunicative space within themselves. Please dm me if you need a safe space to listen.

Now, this is a great reason to slide into someone’s DMs.
