Jenna Johnson & Val Chmerkovskiy are official parents for the first time!
After struggling for two years with infertility, the professional dancer announced that they were expecting their first child in July 2022, and by August, they shared that it would be a boy. Now, for their baby’s arrival, Johnson and Chmerkovskiy revealed the information via a joint Instagram post.

“Our world changed forever,” Jenna wrote along with a white heart emoji and the baby’s date of birth to announce the arrival of their bundle of joy in the caption. The Instagram post featured a black-and-white photo of the groom holding his wife’s hand while the newborn baby held his thumb.
Within hours, fans and friends of the TV personality couple flooded the comments section with well-wishes. One fan wrote, “Congratulations to you all!?? Singer and TV host Tamar Braxton wrote, “Omg she’s here ❤️.”
Olympian Simone Biles shares her love with three white heart emojis. Val’s brother, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, added four red heart emojis. Additionally, Chmerkovskiy’s season 31 partner and runner-up Gabby Windey wrote, “Mom and dad!!! Congratulations!!.”
Other DWTS professional dancers, including Lindsey Arnold, Witney Carson, and Daniella Karagach, expressed their congratulations to the parents. Former contestants, including Joe Amabile, Cheryl Burke, Sharna Burgess, Amanda Kloots, Matt James, Christine Chiu, and Monica Aldama, also sent their love.

The “SYTYCD” star reflected on how her lover made her feel ‘Beautiful’ as she went through her physical transformation struggles. She stated that she received all the support that made her feel “superpowered” to carry their child.
Johnson added that the loyal lover consistently appreciated her for choosing to be a mother although she admitted that she was not surprised by the gesture because the father of one and herself had always planned to expand their family for a long time. He said:
“And this is something we have wanted for a long time in our relationship. So I know that [Val] going to be great and very excited.”
The mother of one explained that being the recipient of such deep love and care caused her to reach “a different level” with Chmerkovskiy as she regained her belief in her unique beauty despite her pregnancy body image. In his words:
“I have always been beautiful toned, beautiful in shape, because of dance. So even though my body is constantly changing, it gets overwhelming and confusing at times. But she has made me feel very special and very beautiful.”
The 28-year-old also noted the many new things she had to learn to build self-esteem, including “respecting and appreciating” her body protecting “a precious little angel.”

The couple sparked rumors of their romance around 2015 when they were spotted getting cozy while hanging out in West Hollywood. After that, the couple got engaged in June 2018 during a trip to Venice, Italy. In a message to the publication, after he popped the question, Chmerkovskiy admitted:

The couple then walked down the aisle in April 2019 during a glamorous ceremony in Rancho Palo Verdes, California, where they were joined by their closest family and friends, including DWTS cast members Mark Ballas, Cheryl Burke, Alan Bersten and Artem Chigvintsev.
