McCurdy, who spoke at the festival about her book, “I’m Glad My Mother Died,” took to Instagram to share a carousel of photos from the day and explain why this trip to Australia was so impactful for her.

“Speaking at the Sydney Opera House was unforgettable!! McCurdy recently shared the news that his book is still strong on the bestseller list 29 weeks after its release. She shared a photo on Instagram of Indie Hardcover Fiction Bestsellers for the week of March 1, 2023, showing that “I’m Glad My Mom Died” is at the top of the list.

“29 weeks after release and you have once again made IGMMD the #1 non-fiction book in the country on the indie bookstore bestseller list,” she captioned the photo. “Thank you all for telling friends, cousins ​​and mothers (?) to read the book. There’s nothing like the power of word of mouth and that’s all you guys are, so thank you.”

The author also shared a photo in late December showing all the places the book was included for the best of 2022. Some of those places include Glamour, Amazon, Audible, Barnes & Noble and Goodreads.

In December, the book was also on the New York Times Hardcover Bestseller list at number two.
