Seemingly to shut down speculation that Perry may have relapsed before she drowned, Aniston told Variety, “I want people to know she’s really healthy, and getting better. She’s catching up. She’s working hard. She’s really taking it hard. I miss him so much. We all do. Boy, he made us laugh so hard.”

Perry’s ex Kayti Edwards claims the actor relapsed and may have taken drugs in the weeks before his death.

For the interview, Aniston was joined by “The Morning Show” co-star Reese Witherspoon, who also guest stars on “Friends.” Witherspoon about her experience with Perry and the bond the co-stars share.

“You are all very close. It’s amazing what comes out of that friendship, and how you’ve always looked out for each other over the years. It’s really beautiful and sets the standard for our business as well, in the way you respect each other,” explained Witherspoon.

She continued, “I feel lucky that I got to be on the show and I went in like Alice in Wonderland, watching the most popular actors do all these things. I remember going home and going, oh, they’re in another league. They’re on another planet on a level of comedy that I’ve never seen in my entire life, spinning on a dime and working on each other’s energy and it’s incredible.”

As for the outpouring of love the late Perry has received following the news of his death, Aniston described it as “beautiful,” before adding, “I hope he can know that he’s loved in a way he never thought possible.”

So it’s no surprise when reports claim that she’s struggling with her loss. According to sources, Aniston was the first to arrive at Perry’s funeral held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills on November 3.

The insider explained that Aniston “hid herself” at the high-profile gathering, which was attended by her other co-stars, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, and Matt Le Blanc.

Days after the funeral, Aniston finally broke her silence about her friend’s passing on social media. Alongside a photo of their throwback, she uploaded a screenshot of the text exchange. In it, Perry talks about how making Aniston laugh makes her day.

“Oh boy this is so deep… Saying goodbye to our Matty has been a wave of crazy emotions I’ve never experienced before,” she began her statement. “We all experience loss at some point in our lives. Loss of life or loss of love.”

She continued, “Being able to really SIT in this grief allows you to feel moments of joy and gratitude for having loved someone so deeply. And we love her so much. She’s part of our DNA. There’s always been six of us. This is a forever chosen family change our course.”

Aniston further explained that Perry loved making people laugh when she was alive because “her life depended on it.” He ended the tearful tribute, writing:

“Matty, I love you so much and I know you are now completely calm and not in any pain. I talk to you every day… sometimes I can almost hear you saying “can you get any crazier? Rest sister. You always make my day…”
