The mother of one, who announced the birth of her first child with equestrian husband Nayel Nassar, in March 2023, has been blessing fans with adorable pictures of the little one on social media.
While she often openly credits the help she gets from her loved ones and influential parents, the mother-of-one talks about the struggles of navigating the ins and outs of motherhood that all mothers can relate to.

Taking to her Instagram story, she uploaded a collage of images from the front page of the New York Times of different moms nursing their babies smiling through the difficulties that come with being a caregiver with the title “The Realities of Postpartum Depression.”
Sharing her experience, she wrote, “Even though I don’t have PPD, the baby blues are very dark. Even with resources and help, I don’t know how I will take care of myself and my daughter with my symptoms lingering. This is an important topic that deserves more recognition and support.”
In a subsequent post where he shared a photo of himself lying in bed and holding his baby, looking stressed and exhausted, Gates shared more insight into his battle with baby blues.
“That first week… Adjusting to breastfeeding. All hormonal changes. Your own recovery. Try to keep a new life. Kind of like a ride,” he recalled. “If I could go back, I would tell myself that it’s normal and (for me) it will get better – And depend on family, friends, health care providers.”
She continued, “I wish there was more support for moms when they come home. Everyone’s story is different and moms are so resilient and amazing.” Gates ended his speech by sharing a recent photo of his mother carrying her newborn baby, smiling warmly at the little one.
“Forever grateful to our family and their support in those early days (and now). And friends, team, newborn care experts, and everyone around us. ? it’s important to recognize all the support we have had and continue to have and how special that is,” he said with all his heart.
Gates’ revelation about her struggle with baby blue comes days after the mother-of-one finally revealed her baby’s identity to the world. The Stanford University graduate surprised her fans after taking to her Instagram to bless her followers with a precious glimpse of her daughter’s face and her name revealed.

She uploaded an adorable picture of her first child wrapped in her arms. Despite deliberately cropping her face out of the picture, Gates showed her daughter to the public. In the photo, the little one is wearing a white floral dress, looking sweet with a bright toothless smile and chubby cheeks.
For his young age, he exudes great joy as he stares at objects in the background with curiosity. Captioning her post, she excitedly revealed, “Leila ? 4 months (pronounced LAY – tears).” The doting mom also tagged her husband in the post.
