The “Sex and the City” co-star made the statement as he gave a glimpse of the awards he’s set for his fans as he counts down to his birthday. The Instagram post featured the star sitting at a table with her elbows resting on it, dressed in a purple dress with a hat with the number seventeen on it.

The following slide shows the various awards arranged on top of her grand piano with her standing next to it in a red coat and dress smiling broadly at the camera. The caption reads:

“Counting down to my birthday! In a few days, I’ll be 41, but then again, I’ll always be 17!!” ends with the hashtags “EGOT” and “17.”[sic]

J.Hud — as he is popularly called — has recently joined the ranks of exemplary artists who have achieved excellence in their careers in various fields in the entertainment industry by receiving a collection of awards that earned them the name EGOT.

In addition to the various nicknames he has acquired throughout his career, the most recent is the nickname he gave himself, “17.” As PEOPLE reports, the singer shared in a preview of her interview with Gayle King the meaning behind her new nickname.

The “Winnie Mandela” star explained that the nickname represents only the seventeenth person to achieve EGOT status by winning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award. Referring to the number as a lucky charm, she recalled her surprise when she walked on stage to accept the Tony award; the crowd started chanting “EGOT!” bringing attention to the importance of his victory.

Hudson recalled that at the time, he was just excited for his cast because they won an award for the musical “A Strange Loop,” which he produced. Although it has been several months since the honor was bestowed, she admits that she still agrees to be the youngest woman to receive the prestigious title.

In the picture, she stands proudly next to her piano with the collection arranged on the surface as she poses in a purple long-sleeved dress while holding Tony and smiling at the camera. The multi-hyphenated singer wrote “Look what’s coming yal !!!” shows the award he’s holding while tagging “tony award” and the musical he won, “strangeloopbway.”

As expected, fans and colleagues of the talented 40-year-old took to the comments section to congratulate him, expressing their pride and joy at the impressive achievement. One comment mentioned how fit she is and attributed it to getting ready for her upcoming talk show.

The former “The Voice” coach is set to debut her talk show “The Jennifer Hudson Show” this September.
