Jennifer Lopez has revealed that she and her husband, Ben Affleck, continue to struggle with the lingering effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) from their first high-profile relationship.
The couple began dating and got engaged in the early 2000s but called off their wedding as their relationship was scrutinized by the media.

During their early romance in the early 2000s, the power couple faced intense media scrutiny and public interest that eventually led to the demise of their relationship. They were also supposed to get married in 2003 but canceled the plans due to media frenzy.
Lopez and Affleck got back together in 2021 in a whirlwind romance and married the following year. He has now revealed that they still suffer from “PTSD” from their early relationship.

The Latino beauty shared that she and the “Deep Water” cast are experienced in that kind of thing and can handle the media scrutiny that comes with fame better now that they’re “older” and “wiser.”
“We also know what’s important, what’s really important in life, and it’s not what other people think. It’s about being true to who you are,” he added.

Lopez went on to reveal that not all of her team members are supportive of her showcasing her love life with Affleck in the upcoming documentary, but she seems unfazed by their concerns.
“As artists, we have to follow our heart, and here I am following my heart and doing something that everyone might not think is the best idea, but I had to do it,” he shared.
As for whether the film is a scripted feature or a doc, Lopez explained, “You have to see it, and you have to experience it to understand it. That’s why I call it a ‘musical experience.’ Because there is music, you can see it, you can hear it and then you will be able to bring it to life.”
The documentary “This Is Me… Now” will be released on February 16, 2024.
