Actor Jensen Ackles already expects that he will lose his dream role as Batman in the DC universe to Pedro Pascal!
The 48-year-old actor from Chile rose to fame after his role in “Game of Thrones” and has since starred as the Mandalorian in the Disney+ live-action series “Star Wars.” He most recently played Joel in HBO’s “The Last of Us” series, which has garnered more critical acclaim.
Fans of the “Supernatural” star are known to love being able to play the role of Batman, especially in the DC Universe; however, he thought he would lose the role to Pedro Pascal!

Fans know that “Guardians of the Galaxy” directors James Gunn and Peter Safran are currently rebooting the DC Universe. The two are still working on portraying Batman for “The Brave and the Bold,” which features Bruce Wayne meeting and raising his son, Damian. There are rumors that “The Winchesters” actor has been in talks to play the new Batman, as he is a big fan of the franchise.
Although he has no experience with live-action Batman, he voiced the Red Hood and Batman in the films “Batman: Under the Hood” and “Batman: The Long Halloween”. The Texas native also voices Batman in DC’s Tomorrowverse animated feature, which makes him a fan favorite to be the next Batman in live action as well.

During an appearance at a fan convention, Ackles responded to a fan who asked him about rumors that he was in talks to play the next Batman in the DC universe. “I don’t know,” Ackles admitted in a video posted by Home of DCU on Twitter. “Even if I knew I wouldn’t tell you. I mean, can I do it? for sure Do I want to do it? yes. Will I be mad when Pedro Pascal gets it? Yes. God bless you, Pedro. You keep killing it, man. Let me know when you deliver something. “
That being said, the “Angel of Darkness” actor went on to admit that nothing is happening at the moment due to the ongoing writer’s strike. “Look, now nobody talks about anything,” he continued. “There’s a strike going on in the entertainment industry, and until that’s settled, nobody’s talking about anything.”

Ackles ended his speech by joking, “Would I ever entertain the idea of playing my favorite superhero of all time? Well, I’m good.” He laughed before adding, “I would love it. Sign me up.”
Ackles already has significant experience in the superhero world. He joined “Supernatural” creator Eric Kripke for season 3 of “The Boys” after he was cast as Soldier Boy. Since then, he’s teased a possible return for season 4 of the Amazon Prime series, giving fans something to look forward to even if he’s not cast as Batman.

While fans can’t wait to see Pedro Pascal reprise his role as Joel in “The Last Of Us” season 2, there is no hope of seeing Jensen Ackles again in “The Winchesters.” As previously reported by The Blast, The CW has decided to focus more on unscripted programming and opted not to give “The Winchesters,” a spin-off series of the hit series “Supernatural,” a second season. Although Ackles, who serves as an executive producer on the series, is trying to shop the show to other networks, it appears the “Supernatural” franchise will not air for now.
On June 3, the actor who played Dean Winchester for over a decade confirmed that the show would not be returning. “To all of you who watch, follow, and support this story, THANK YOU. And to everyone who brought this show to life…I couldn’t be more proud of what we did together,” he said tweeted.
