Jeremy Renner remains undefeated after his near-fatal snow plowing accident and appears to be back on the job!
The Hollywood veteran recently proved that he is still standing tall after defying the odds of being hit and run over in an accident that happened on New Year’s Day last year.
Although he displays similar physical prowess to Marvel Cinematic Universe character Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye, the 52-year-old is seen looking like another famous character from the superhero franchise.
Jeremy Renner Sparks War Machine Likeness At JFK
The “Avengers: Endgame” star took to the skies nearly a year after his near-death experience, traveling through New York City’s JFK Airport on Dec. 6. The TV personality looked better than ever in the pictures taken by the paparazzi, walking smartly to capture her flight with the help of a compression device strapped to her calf.
In the clip, the two-time Academy Award nominee tries to disguise himself in an all-black ensemble consisting of a button-down winter jacket, pants and a baseball cap. The entertainer added a splash of color with her red luggage box and carried a black backpack.
Despite his efforts to blend in with the other tourists, the “Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters” actor’s famous features stand out alongside the robot-like device at his feet. Renner brings nostalgia with his compression device, evoking similarities to James Rhodes’ character Don Cheadle in the MCU.

Fans of the superhero franchise may remember that Rhodes, aka War Machine, regained the ability to walk after Tony Stark created leg braces based on the exoskeleton mechanics of his Iron Man suit. While the 52-year-old doesn’t have the same fancy braces, the media personality’s compression device serves a similar purpose.
The “Mayor of Kingstown” star wears two compression devices on his leg. This tool helps walking by increasing blood flow, reducing pain and combating swelling. Additionally, the high-tech gear marks a milestone in Renner’s recovery, as he previously moved around with crutches, according to TMZ.
Renner began using the cane less than four months after his accident. In April, the Screen Actors Guild Award recipient returned to the spotlight for a blue carpet event at the “Rennervations” premiere.
The father of one looked dapper in a navy blue suit, matching tie and white undershirt. The event, held at the Regency Country Theatre, saw the 52-year-old walking with a cane in his right hand and holding his daughter Ava Berlin in his left.
She also alternated between using a cane and a knee scooter as she moved down the carpet, giving the paparazzi a thumbs up at one point. The “American Hustle” actor initially announced his presence at the event on his Instagram Story, sharing a photo of the blue carpeted catwalk along with the words: “Walking the blue carpet tonight !!!! Get ready for this amazing event.”

The “Rennervations” project, which began airing on April 12, is a Disney+ series that captures the TV personality’s collaboration with “expert builders” to transform large decommissioned vehicles into community spaces for young people around the world, including Nevada, Chicago, India, and Mexico, Chicago.
Fans Amazed With Jeremy Renner’s Quick Recovery
Last month marked a major milestone in the “Wind River” star’s recovery from her snow plowing accident. The entertainer showed off his incredible reflexes on social media, sharing a video of himself jumping from side to side on what appeared to be a driveway.
The 52-year-old also sprinted to the top of the driveway, proving his leg has made a significant recovery from the horrific incident. Renner explained that he shared the video to commemorate his “10-month recovery” before reflecting on the incredible progress, captioning the post:
“First attempt at any of these activities (especially on a steep grade) and have shed tears of joy, hope, and gratitude for all your support with my family and friends….. I keep pushing for many reasons, but you I am the fuel.”
Naturally, this beautiful moment resonated deeply with fans who praised the “Hawkeye” star’s speedy recovery. “So proud of you. You are truly the most hard working and determined man. Every step, every breath. 10 months on your terms,” someone chimed in.
Another wrote: “Not all warriors wear robes. Some shoot bows and arrows. Way to go, sir! I’m so happy for you!!” While the third exclaimed, “Absolute tank!!! Prayers for your full recovery, and I’m so glad to see you’re still with us!!!”
