The Marvel star has come a long way since his near-fatal incident in early 2023; however, receiving a second chance at life has changed him in more ways than one. He recently opened up about his newfound faith, claiming he no longer fears the bigger picture.

Renner sat down for a candid interview about his miraculous survival on SiriusXM’s new show, “This Life of Mine With James Corden.” A clip of their conversation was shared on the show’s Instagram page, showing the “Hawkeye” star rocking a dark green leather jacket over a gray top and black pants.
The video opens with the 53-year-old actor sharing how his terrifying snow plowing accident changed his perspective on death and renewed his passion for living fearlessly. In his words:
“Because I never feared, mind you, death before. Now, I’m really not afraid. Now, I fell double. Yes, of course not afraid. Now, I’m kind of excited for that.”
Renner explained that since experiencing death, he realized that many of the emotions and problems in the world were unnecessary. Getting philosophical, he shares his new outlook on life with a rather poignant speech, saying:
“Honestly, that’s real life. This rock we turn and this body and the language we speak and all these feelings and emotions and conflicts are all horse s—. It means nothing in the scheme of things. Just saying…”
Naturally, Renner’s words provoked various reactions from fans. Some related to his new beliefs, while others found the truth a bit hard to swallow. One critic asked, “I’m trying to figure out if he’s excited to die, why is he fighting to live?”

“I am reminded that love, goodwill, hard work, and a good group of people are getting me through every day,” he captioned the post, adding his appreciation for everyone involved in his recovery. He went on to write:
“Thank you, blessed…. And as always, I keep my promise to get better, get stronger, and grow to surpass potential…. Bless you all.”
The “Avengers: Age of Ultron” star shared the same image on her IG Story and announced she was celebrating her successful recovery. “My friend reminded me that I came home from ICU a year ago,” she wrote above the photo before adding the footnote, “Lucky Man…”
Renner’s post comes after another milestone — his stunning return to work after a snow plowing accident. He shared the happy news on social media with a photo of himself on the set of the Paramount+ drama series “Mayor of Kingstown.”
The 53-year-old rocked a dapper suit for the night, featuring a striped button-down shirt and gray and black tie underneath a cozy coat. She completed the formal ensemble with a smile as her brown hair was swept to one side.
“First day on set… nervous today. Hope this works out because I can REALLY do this for our production and, more importantly, the fans,” Renner captioned the sweet.
