Jhansi started her career as a host with the TV show ‘Talk of the Town’ that aired almost a decades between 1997 to 2007 on Gemini TV.

She has hosted various famous shows such as ‘Black,’ ‘Ko ante Koti,’ ‘Naveena,’ ‘ATM,’ ‘Pellipustakam,’ and ‘Sunday Sandadi.’ She has hosted the first, second, and third seasons of the TV show “Black,” which is touted as the first reality show for the visually impaired people in India.

She made her acting debut with the Telugu film “Aahvanam” in 1997.

  • In an interview, Jhansi revealed that she was suffering from Thoracic outlet syndrome in 2012. Talking about her sufferings and her journey to recovery, she says-

    I could not even drape a saree all by myself or could not even lift the pen to write my weekly column for a Telugu newspaper. I was hosting a show a quiz show on ETV, but I was taking pain medication. However, it was Dr Sathya Lakshmi from Gandhi Naturocare Hospital who convinced me that my food is my medicine. I felt that it was worth a try and took her advice on food and nutrition seriously. In less than six months, I fully recovered.”
