Jhulan Nishit Goswami is an Indian Cricketer. She has been playing cricket for India since 2002. She is the leading women wicket taker in the world with more than 200 wickets.

Wiki/Biography

Jhulan Goswami was born in a Bengali family on 25 November 1982 (Age: 36 years, as on 2018) in Chakdaha, Nadia, West Bengal, India. In his childhood, he enjoyed playing and watching football. However, his interest in cricket grew when he watched the 1992 cricket World Cup on TV. When he was 15, he took up cricket and trained himself in the sport. There were no facilities in his hometown for cricket training, so he moved to Kolkata, and concentrated on his studies and cricket.

Career

When he was in his teens, he made his first-class debut for the Bengal Cricket Team. When she was just 19 years old, she made her debut for the Indian national women’s cricket team against England in the ODI format in Chennai. On 14 January 2002, she made her Test Cricket debut for the National women’s cricket team against England in Lucknow. In 2006, Goswami made his T20 International debut in Derby, England. He bats with the right hand and bowls the right arm quickly. In 2008, she was appointed captain of the National women’s cricket team and led the team until 2011. In 2008, Goswami became the fourth woman to reach 100 wickets in ODIs at the Asia Cup. He has also served as a bowling consultant for the Indian women’s national cricket team and played as a player coach.
