Birth & Early Life
Jiya Sharma was born in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. After finishing school Jiya went to Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Journalism in 2012-15. He has obtained a Master of Arts in Journalism from the same university in 2015-17.

Career
During her studies, Jiya started appearing in Doordarshan news channel as an anchor in 2012-13. Then he got an opportunity to work at IBC24 news channel as a news anchor. In IBC24, Jiya won the Anchor Hunting Competition named “Khoj Ek Anchor Ki”.
In February 2015, Jiya left IBC24 and started working at Bansal News as a news anchor where she worked till March 2017. Later, Jiya joined Red FM where she worked for 5 months as a Radio Jockey.

After graduating in 2017, Jiya joined Zee Media Corporation and hosted various news shows on politics, sports, crime. He worked for about 4 years until August 2021.
