It has been rumored that actor John Boyega will join his “The Force Awakens” co-star Daisy Ridley in his new “Star Wars” movie that takes place fifteen years after the events of 2019’s “The Rise of Skywalker”.
The two co-starred in the “Star Wars” sequel trilogy, which included 2015’s “The Force Awakens,” 2017’s “The Last Jedi,” and 2019’s “The Rise of Skywalker,” which was also the last “Star Wars” film to be released in theater.
Fans are still disappointed with the way Boyega’s character Finn was treated and are eager to see him return to the galaxy far, far away and have a bigger role in the film. On July 19, the “They Cloned Tyrone” actor took to Twitter to deny that he has been cast in a new “Star Wars” role or any new projects. “If I’m involved in any new projects, trust me, you’ll hear from me on any of my social media platforms,” he said. tweeted. “No news so far! Fans were quick to express how much they wanted him back, if only to give his character the screen time he deserved. Boyega has shut down claims that he plans to return to the franchise in the past. “At this point, I’m just calm. I’m satisfied,” Boyega said in an August 2022 interview with SiriusXM’s Tell Me Everything With John Fugelsang when asked if he would play with Finn again. “I think Finn is at a good validation point where you can enjoy him in other things, games, animation. But I feel like'[Episode] VII’ to ‘[Episode] IX’ is good for me.”
However, that same month, he told Vanity Fair that he’s still a fan of the franchise and plans to catch up on the latest Disney+ series. “People are always surprised! The industry issue has nothing to do with Star Wars and I’m a fan of it. I’ve watched Obi-Wan, I’ve watched The Mandalorian,” he said.
