John Stamos channels the pain of losing his best friend, Bob Saget, through words.
Stamos’ life was turned upside down when he received the news that Saget had been found dead in a hotel room at the Ritz Carlton, Orlando, in January 2022. Although he never thought he had much to say, losing one of his best friends and “being a father” who has seen “returns through ups and downs, highs and lows,” Stamos realizes the possibility of having “something” in him. stories “that people can connect with.” “There will be laughs, tears, and some fun filler, just like life,” the “ER” star promised in an Instagram caption before adding:
“What I have found is that I am here for every pain and sadness as I am here for every joy. There’s more life to live beyond these pages, but so far it’s been a rough ride.”

The sweet footage has been viewed nearly two million times and earned Stamos’ wife, Caitlin McHugh, declaring that the actor has been the “best father” to their son in the comments section. The couple welcomed Billy in April 2018, just months after they made their union official.

The Blast observed last October that the “Not Too Young to Die” actor reflected on his challenging phase as an alcoholic. He also opened up about suicidal tendencies during an appearance on “CBS Sunday Morning,” where he revealed:
“For the longest time, when I was unconscious, when I was in a blur, I thought, ‘I’ve done it all.’ I don’t want to kill myself, but I don’t care if I die. I said, ‘I’ve done it all. if I die tomorrow, it’s okay.’ What am I thinking? I didn’t do it all; I haven’t done it all yet, not even close.”
Stamos admitted that although he had supportive loved ones around him, it wasn’t until his arrest in 2015 that he decided to stop drinking. Since then, he has focused on improving himself for his wife, with whom he plans to have more children.
He’s also lucky to have Saget as a friend, as he shares that the voice narrator of “How I Met Your Mother” is “one of the biggest influences” in his life. In the words of Stamos:
“He was there for everything, everything good, everything bad. He’s my brother, you know? He’s the brother I’ve wanted all this time.”
