When Stamos welcomed his son Billy with his wife Caitlin McHugh, the late Saget was among the first to meet him. Five years after Billy’s birth and a year after Saget’s death, Stamos recalls a moving memory.

‘General Hospital’ Star Has Upcoming Memoir Inspired By Bob Saget
As the “General Hospital” alum continues to treasure memories with her late friend, she’s documenting them in her upcoming memoir. Last month, he announced the book’s release date and the inspiration behind it.
The Daytime Emmy Award nominee revealed the cover of the autobiography on her Instagram. The cover of the book is a portrait of himself in a black v-neck shirt, giving a slight smile. The title reads, “If you told me,” and it will be available on 10/24/23.
Alongside the photo, the “Dream” actor shared his inspiration for writing the book. “Everybody has a book in them,” Stamos said. “If You Told Me’ is mine. I honestly don’t think I have much to share, certainly not enough to fill a book.”
However, he has more than enough stories to share from the string of events in his life. Explaining his inspiration, Stamos said, “But, losing one of my best friends, becoming a father, looking back on the ups and downs, the ups and downs…maybe there’s something in my story that people can connect with. Like life, there will be laughs, tears, and fun fillers.”
